Just the Beginning

Move in day, with just a little excitement! This was the first day I met my freshman year roommate, and to this day nobody will understand our connection. We immediately knocked on every single door in our building just to say hi and introduce ourselves!

March 2015

Love Your Melon

With some of my first friends I met at Bryant, I helped create the first Love Your Melon Crew on campus! It was so rewarding to conduct in house and hospital visits for children with cancer after we sold an intense amount of LYM apparel.

April 2015

Relay for Life

I involved myself in Relay for Life for many years before college, but this was the first year I led as a team captain. With a team of just 10 people, we raised money for the American Cancer Society, tabled an activity station at the event, and walked all night long.

Waitress

My first serving job! And not to mention, the view was incredible. I had the privilege to serve Greathorse Club members where I not only got to show my work ethic to the members and staff, but also learn about the members' inspiring stories.

June 2015

New Sport?

I wanted to be strong. I wanted to lose the freshmen weight I selfishly gained. I wanted to come back ready to crush the track season with my team. Crossfit was always a sport I was interested in and I came into the season in the best shape of my life.

September 2015

MGT 201 honors

This was a class when I really felt myself push outside of my comfort zone. I told myself to become the leader I would want to lead me. Needless to say, we became the top performing team in the class.

January 2016

*Knock knock* "ResLife!"

After receiving such a sought out position, I was thrilled, not only to receive room and board, but also to become part of another team. A team where we would be responsible for making a difference in the students' experience on campus.

January 2016

After setting the bar in 2015, I broke my own school record in the indoor pentathlon after hours of focused and dedicated training.

May 2016

"Don't Move"

I wish I could put into the right words what it felt like to be hospitalized for what was diagnosed as Guillian Barre Syndrome; a rare autoimmune disorder that effects your entire nervous system with the possibility of not receiving full feeling back to the body.

June 2016

Lyme Doctor #1

After being in the hospital, my mom called the doctors to tell them I couldn't even open my eyes from a pounding headache. Their response was, "Oh well yeah. She has Lyme Disease." Back to the doctors I go!

June 2016

Determined Recovery

Although I had just been hit with a serious autoimmune disorder, I was determined to fill my role in the four jobs I had during that summer. I was to be a tour guide, RA, coach, and researcher. And that is just what I did!

December 2016

Oh Captain, My Captain

After stepping up and being a leader that the track team needed during our fall training, I was awarded the captain title for the start of our indoor season. I was thrilled to be a leader and that person for the team to go to for anything.

January 2017

OL Position

I have never met a more caring and connected group of people. I was happy to be added as a one of the positive OL's that was seen to put a smile on anyone's face whenever they needed a little sunshine to their day. Especially for the nervous incoming students!

May 2017

Roadtrip!

After all the craziness of the semester, I decided I needed to get out of town and have a vacation by myself. I drove 8 hours to Ottawa, Canada to gain more independence, explore and met new people, and to discover new things about myself.

August 2017

Another Doctor?

I just couldn't take the uncomfortable feelings my stomach gave me almost constantly. As it turned out, I had Ulcerative Colitis. Another autoimmune disease that became so debilitating. Oh, did I mention I got bit again by another Lyme carrier?

October 2017

Honor's West Coast Trip

As a reward for completing our first big step in our capstones as honors students, we were rewarded by being the 'trailblazers' to the west coast! Visiting Google, SalesForce, and Splunk just skims the surface of the networking and experiences we had!

April 2018

Coming into college, one of my goals was to be part of the small percentage of honors students that would complete the capstone project. Being able to decide my own topic made the process and outcomes even more rewarding.

May 2018

Graduation Day

I did it. I graduated Cum Laude in the honors college of only 36 students with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Business Management major, Sports Studies concentration, and Legal Studies minor. I did it.
