Cross Country Move
Although the CA move didn't work out, I still ended up on the West Coast. Through health complications and moving yet again after only 8 months of exploring Maryland, I showed up to the sunshine state. 3 suitcases, 1 backpack, and a whole lot of curiosity for this next chapter that I just couldn't say no to.

ASU Masters Student
Grad school never seemed to be on the horizon for me, but as the saying goes, never say never. I was sought out in 2018 at the Sport and Society Conference to attend ASU as a Community Resource and Development Master's student. I was searched for a reason to say no, and that reason never came. The chance to be a part of youth sports research was just one of the many opportunties I couldn't pass up.

So Many New Sports
As a D1 athlete, I was ready to step away purely for the idea of being able to try new sports. Now was my chance. Arizona has allowed me to play in my first softball game, take a spin class, immerse myself in hiking, mountain biking for the first time, hot yoga, the list goes on and on. A new appreciation/lessons learned for the complexity of sport and exercise.
